First signs of Ghost Haunting detected

Comedic point-and-click pixel art adventure to be published by Daedalic for Windows and Mac in 2026
When we think of ghostly hauntings, we generally think of otherworldly spirits terrorizing the world of the living for scares. But the exact opposite is true in Three Headed Monkey Studios' upcoming Ghost Haunting, in which it's a living human terrorizing the world of the dead for (our) laughs.
Eight-year-old Gigi is a bit of a handful, and that's BEFORE she discovers a family secret that turns her life (and a whole lot of other people's deaths) upside-down. Gigi is on a "supposedly relaxing vacation" when she discovers to her surprise that her "grumpy grandpa Giovanni is a legendary ghost hunter." From there, it isn't long until she hatches a plan to "bring back her late grandma from the realm of the dead." And so, with no regard to the "potentially world-ending" consequences that might ensue, the plucky youngster embarks on a "journey into the afterlife, armed with nothing but her curiosity, questionable logic, and a talking pumpkin-demon named Baron Butt(er)nut."
Yes, this is definitely not your typical haunting, more Ghostbusters than horror story, blending "subtle spookiness and dark humor" in a story that explores themes like "grief, growing up, and ghoulish missteps." Promising plenty of "pixelated mischief, cheeky demons, and heartwarming chaos," Ghost Haunting is a comedic traditional-styled point-and-click adventure like the 90s classics that inspired it. Its beautiful pixel art presentation is equally nostalgic but updated with user-friendly "modern comforts" such as a hint system, hotspot highlighter and fast travel options as part of its "'not-getting-stuck' guarantee." There will of course be lots of items to collect, puzzles to solve, and quirky characters to interact with in both worlds, including members of the "Gargoyle Labor Union and some one-quarter-dead zombies."
While Ghost Haunting is the first game from the three monkey heads developing it, the production has an impressive pedigree behind it, as Daedalic Entertainment will be publishing the game when it's launched on Steam for Windows and Mac sometime in 2026.
