Steam Next Fest adventure game demo round-up – June 2026

We're nearly halfway through 2026, and already it's been a phenomenal year of new adventure releases. Surely the genre is running out of great games on the horizon, right? "Heck no!" says the Steam Next Fest. Once again, the weeklong industry celebration has brought out an abundance of demos for our sampling pleasure. Whether it's solving some of the one thousand puzzles in Jonathan Blow's devious new head-scratcher, fending off eldritch horrors in Frogwares' return to the flooded city of Arkham, snapping a second cozy batch of black-and-white photos, solving crimes on the slopes, scaring ourselves silly, or deducing whodunit in any number of mystery adventures, there promises to be more than enough for fans of every kind of adventure.

As always, the Next Fest will last only a week, ending June 22nd, taking some of these demos with it, so squeeze in as many as you can while the opportunity lasts. And be sure to check back here for more suggestions later, as the list will fill up with new additions as they become available. (Including a few non-Next Fest passengers not to be lost in the shuffle.)

Allogloom

Developer: Galactic Ghosty

Monsters have abducted the residents of Nora's hometown. With a note instructing her to go somewhere forbidden as her only clue, she must now explore what remains of Gruesome Grove and beyond to get to the bottom of the mystery. BrokenLore: DON’T LIE
